Russ is a partner emeritus at Spott, Lucey & Wall, Inc. CPAs and has been practicing public accounting for over 20 years. He continues to work with the firm part time focusing on client matters.
Russ specializes in tax planning, structuring and compliance for multinational businesses and individuals. He has extensive experience with controlled foreign corporations, expatriation taxation, and has assisted many families with getting back into US tax compliance via the various offshore voluntary compliance and streamline programs.
Russ was the Treasurer of the Australian American Chamber of Commerce (San Francisco) for more than fifteen years and is still actively involved in the success of this organization as a board member. In January of 2020, the Australian Consulate-General of San Francisco awarded him the Bill Lane, Spirit of Australia Award in recognition of his service.
